I spent hours trying to figure out how to get up north to Hoi An. It's #1 rated by Lonely Planet. I need to get to Da Nang. I wanted to take a train because of the scenery, but they're all booked. I guess Google Calendar doesn't notify me of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year in this part of Asia, and Tet.
That means a lot of Vietnamese are traveling back to their homes to visit family. Trains are full, as is most other transportation. And I don't want to hitch-hike. Back to the Internet, and a visit to the lady downstairs who speaks English and will help I hope.
I spent most of the day just relaxing in and around the hotel, planning and coming up with ideas for the next week or so. I'm not quite sure the best way to travel in Vietnam but I'll figure it out as I go.
